PostWire is a social media management service operated by Cortexlumora Private Limited ("Cortexlumora", "we", "our", or "us"), an Indian private limited company (CIN: U62013KA2025PTC205335, PAN: AAMCC9030B, GSTIN: 29AAMCC9030B1ZQ) with its registered office at 759/Sree Gururaya Mansion, 3rd Floor, 8th Main Road, J P Nagar, Bangalore South, Bangalore — 560078, Karnataka, India.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), Cortexlumora Private Limited is the data controller of the personal data we collect through PostWire.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture when you sign up.
  • Connected Social Accounts: When you connect a social media account (e.g., Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky), we store OAuth tokens, your username, display name, and profile picture from that platform.
  • Content: Posts, captions, images, and videos you create and schedule through our platform.
  • Billing Information: Processed by our authorised payment processor. We store only a payment-method reference and your subscription status — we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage Data: Basic usage information such as login times and feature usage to improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the PostWire service.
  • To publish and schedule posts to your connected social media accounts on your behalf.
  • To authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • To process subscription payments and manage billing.
  • To send you service-related emails (e.g., account verification, post failures, trial ending).
  • To improve and develop new features.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR / DPDP)

  • Contract: to provide the Service you've signed up for.
  • Consent: for optional features like connecting third-party accounts.
  • Legitimate interest: to secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

5. Third-Party Services

We integrate with third-party social media platforms to provide our service. When you connect an account, we use OAuth to obtain authorized access. We only request the permissions necessary to post content and read your profile information. Each platform's own privacy policy governs how they handle your data.

We also use third-party service providers for infrastructure (AWS, Cloudflare), transactional email (Resend), and payments. These providers act as data processors and are contractually required to protect your data.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using encrypted connections. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted in our database and are used solely to perform actions you authorize. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption in transit and encryption at rest.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with third-party platforms when you explicitly authorize us to post or interact on your behalf, and with our payment processor to complete transactions.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

You can disconnect any social account at any time, which removes the stored tokens and profile data for that account. If you delete your PostWire account, all associated data — including posts, connected accounts, and personal information — will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records).

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law (GDPR, UK GDPR, India DPDP, CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Disconnect any linked social media account at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

10. International Data Transfers

PostWire is operated from India. If you access the Service from outside India, your data will be transferred to and processed in India. We implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers in line with applicable data protection laws.

11. Children's Privacy

PostWire is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for removal.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending you an email.
